Living Compassion: The Opening of the Heart in Julian of Norwich’s Revelations of Divine Love
October 1, 2016 @ 10:00 am - 4:45 pm
Event Navigation
Led by: Revd. Robert Fruehwirth.
Drawing on the Revelations of Divine Love of the 14th century mystic and spiritual writer Julian of Norwich, the Revd. Robert Fruehwirth will explore the opening of the heart in compassion, as it happened for Julian herself in her experience of the Christian faith, and as it can happen for us. Special attention will be given to the role of Centering Prayer in facilitating the development of compassion and the deepening of faith. There will be ample time for personal reflection and reading, and periods of Centering Prayer will be offered. The day will end with a simple celebration of the Eucharist.
Come to this Quiet Day for the refreshment of silence. Come for meditation, reflection, stillness and prayer. All are welcome.
Please bring a packed lunch. Light refreshments will be available from 9:30am.
