Introduction to Centering Prayer

This introduction provides a basic definition of contemplative prayer in comparison to other kinds of meditation, and shows how it springs out of the Christian tradition. We will also have opportunities to experience Centering Prayer during the afternoon. All are welcome.
Suggested donation £10.
After this introduction, if there is enough interest, we will offer four follow up sessions fortnightly on Wednesday evenings, from 5.00 until 6.30, before our regular Centering Prayer group meets. The dates for these sessions would be 3rd May, 17th May, 31st May, and 14th June. The follow up sessions cover essentially the same basic material as the introduction so you are welcome to attend them even if you couldn't make it to the original day.
